چکیده

The relationship between photoemission spectra of high-Tc cuprates and their therPreprint submitted to Elsevier Science 6 February 2008 modynamic and transport properties are discussed. The doping dependence of the expected quasi-particle density at the Fermi level (EF) are compared with the electronic specific heat coefficient γ and that of the spectral weight at EF with the in-plane and out-of-plane superfluid density. We have estimated the electrical resistivity of underdoped cuprates from the momentum distribution curve (MDC) at EF in the nodal direction. The temperature dependence of the MDC width is also consistent with that of the electrical resistivity.

Cuprates La2−xSrxCuO4 Studied by Angle-resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy

We have performed a systematic angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) study of the high-Tc cuprates La2−xSrxCuO4, ranging from the underdoped insulator to the superconductor to the overdoped metal. We have revealed a systematic doping evolution of the band dispersions and (underlying) Fermi surfaces, pseudogap and quasi-particle features under the influence of strong electron-electro...

Coexistence of charge-density-wave and pair-density-wave orders in underdoped cuprates.

We analyze incommensurate charge-density-wave (CDW) and pair-density-wave (PDW) orders with transferred momenta (±Q,0)/(0,±Q) in underdoped cuprates within the spin-fermion model. Both orders appear due to an exchange of spin fluctuations before magnetic order develops. We argue that the ordered state with the lowest energy has nonzero CDW and PDW components with the same momentum. Such a state...

Quasiparticles in the Pseudogap Phase of Underdoped Cuprate

Recent angle resolved photoemission [1] and scanning tunneling microscopy [2] measurements on underdoped cuprates have yielded new spectroscopic information on quasiparticles in the pseudogap phase. New features of the normal state such as particle-hole asymmetry, maxima in the energy dispersion and accompanying drops in the spectral weight of quasiparticles agree with the ansatz of Yang et al....

Pseudogap and quantum-transition phenomenology in HTS cuprates

The low-energy excitation spectrum of HTS cuprates is examined in the light of thermodynamic, transport, quasiparticle and spin properties. Changes in the thermodynamic spectrum associated with the normal-state pseudogap disappear abruptly at a critical doping state, pcrit = 0.19 holes per Cu. Moreover, ARPES data at 100K show that heavily damped quasiparticles (QP) near (π,0) suddenly recover ...

Spectral Properties of Underdoped Cuprates

In the framework of the planar t-J model for cuprates we analyze the development of a pseudo gap in the density of states, which at low doping starts to emerge for temperaturesT < J and persists up to the optimum doping. The analysis is based on numerical results for spectral functions obtained with the finite-temperature Lanczos method for finite two-dimensional clusters. Numerical results are...
